Welcome to our School Library!
As we all know, reading is a wonderful experience for every single person to enjoy. We are luck enough to have a dedicated library space with over 6000 books, covering a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction. There will be something to suit everyone!
We are supported by the School Library Service, which enables us to keep our library catalogue up to date. We also hold a book fair each year to help raise funds for new books to add to the exciting resources on offer.
Every class has a slot each week to go to the library and choose a book to read at school or take home. They are also able to take a book from either the school reading scheme, or from the Reading Challenge for their year group.
While they are in the library the children are encouraged to search for books independently, for pleasure and for learning, this will help them when they visit their local library too.
As well as a huge range of books, your local library offers a wide range of other services and activities for children. You can find them by following the link: https://www.hants.gov.uk/librariesandarchives/library
I look forward to seeing you all soon.
