Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you of a special event for Year 3 pupils!

As part of our Roman theme, we have organised a Roman Day for the children. The purpose of this day is for children to experience what life was like during the Roman times. We will be food tasting during this day so please update the office if there is anything new to be aware of or if you would not like your child to participate. To make this experience as real as possible, we have asked the children to come into school in Roman costume. The Roman Day will be held on Wednesday 21st July 2021. Your support in helping your child put together an outfit for the day will be appreciated i.e. white t shirt, shorts and a belt, a toga made from a white bed sheet, arm holes in a pillow case etc. However, please note that we do not expect you to buy an outfit especially for the day.

If you have any questions with regards to the upcoming event, please do not hesitate in contacting your child’s teacher. We do have a limited amount of spare costumes should these be required. Remember you can email us at
