Spring Term 2018

BADMINTON – Teams from YRs 5/6 and YRs 3/4 attended badminton tournaments last half term. The Yr 5/6 pupils did very well, progressing to the semi-finals and finals and leaving with medals. The YR 3/4 Boys team won their festival.

FOOTBALL – Two teams took part in the EFL Football League Cup at Roko, Portsmouth. Both teams played well with one making it as far as the semi-finals. Well Done Boys.

TABLE TENNIS – Several pupils took part in an individuals table tennis competition at Admiral Lord Nelson school, Portsmouth. The competition was strong but we did really well with one of our boys qualifying for the Hampshire Finals!

CROSS COUNTRY – Our cross country league has been taking place on Portsdown Hill this term. We have one further race to go and currently both our boys’ and girls’ teams are doing very well. 7 pupils from Purbrook have been selected to represent Havant at the County Championships in March. Further details on the league will follow.

SPORTSHALL ATHLETICS – During Fairthorne week a team from YRs 4 and 6 attended an indoor athletics event. We had some very strong performances and were pleased to finish 4th.

Autumn Term 2017

FOOTBALL – Year 6 league currently being played. The boys have sailed through the first round of the Hampshire Cup.

AREA WIDE LANE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT – This year, we are proud to represent Havant Schools at the Wide Lane Tournament. The U11’s will be playing soon and we hope they have as much success as our U10′ team who played an outstanding tournament. They do not losing a single match, progressing to the finals and ultimately leaving as Tournament Winners!
