FOOTBALL  –
The league matches for Yr 6 have now finished. Our Yr 6 ‘A’ Team played really well and remain undefeated in all their matches. Their ‘crunch’ match for the league title was played recently which they drew. This placed them in runner up position in the league, receiving silver medals. The ‘B’ team also played well, finishing 4th in the silver league. We also entered a ‘C’ team in the leagues this year. They were thrilled to finish 2nd in their league, also receiving silver medals.

Our first Hampshire Cup match is for the girls was away to Kings Worthy, Winchester. It was an exciting match which ended Kings Worthy 3  –  2  Purbrook.
The boys played their first Hampshire Cup match against Whiteley before half term. It was an exciting match against a strong opposition. We were pleased to hold on to our lead at the final whistle and will now be playing Velmead before Christmas.

Both our U10’s and U11’s played in an area tournament recently at Wide Lane in Southampton. Both teams performed exceptionally well with the U10’s finishing 2nd and the U11’s 4th.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE  –
Three teams from Purbrook took part in an Ultimate Frisbee competition this week, hosted by Springwood School. We played really well with two teams receiving silver medals for finishing second in their leagues and the third placing fourth.

HOCKEY –

This year we have entered two teams into the local Hockey tournaments. Both teams are gaining in strength and ability and we hope to have a strong squad for future years. We will be playing in the Portsmouth League in the New Year.

BASKETBALL –

We entered two teams into the Havant & Waterlooville school Basketball league this year. Our ‘B’ team is a much younger squad and despite not placing this year, will be our talent of the future. Our ‘A’ team dominated the league this year, securing a place in the Hampshire School Games in the summer by finishing top of the league.
