The Junior Improvement Team is a team of children who have been selected by their class through an election process to be the voice of the children in the school. They have one aim – to make Purbrook Junior the best place for children to be. They are committed to listening to the views of children, being approachable and being pro-active in making real changes within the school.

Below are some comments by the J.I.T team
“The point of the Junior Improvement Team is to make this school the best place to learn.”
“It’s just not us that are a part of the team; we are all one big team working together to make a difference,”
“We want to keep you and everyone else safe and happy at school,”
The JIT team have already improved lunchtimes so that there is more time to play with friends instead of lining up for lunch. They have brought an outside clock so all children know what the time is when they are on the playground. The children are now looking into the school’s learning environment and discussing with the children in their classes about the kind of learners they want to be.
