My name is Faye Andrews, and I am the ELSA at Purbrook Junior School. ELSA stands for Emotional Literacy Support Assistant, a trained school role that helps children and young people cope with emotional challenges.

How I can help your children:

· Support for children experiencing struggles with anxiety, managing anger, bereavement, emotional regulation skills, improving self-esteem, enabling children to develop solution focussed skills and build friendships

· I offer 1:1 or small group targeted support for children, implemented with a child-focused approach.

· Children are offered six sessions with a specific target to work towards. This is usually one session per week for six weeks and then a period of time given to embed the skills that they have learnt, with opportunities to check in with ELSA on a less formal basis.
